Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.

For a long time, my favorite saying was, “when life throws you lemons, make lemonade.” And I know how cliché that sounds, but that stuck to me— to always look at things from a positive angle, find opportunities. Although the latter I think I’m doing well, the former, not so much. (My current favorite saying is “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.)

Blogging was a hobby I first started in high school, around 2008. Back then that hobby wasn’t as saturated as it is now. Funnily, I don’t even remember my old URL or blog name. Most of my entries then were airing out how I feel, like your typical teenager writing on a diary, mine was digital.

I moved to WordPress and to this blog in 2012. A lot of the things I blog about are about my life, challenges I face, and travel, which is why my blog’s title was Life, Lemons, Escapades until I simplified it recently to just Life and Lemons. Basically to document personal experiences, both good and bad.

It’s nice to read back what happened from previous years, especially travel as they are always one of a kind. I don’t have a good memory of little things like the name of the place I ate in that I really liked when I travel, so when I have time, I go back and enjoy those experiences while reminiscing.

I really miss blogging consistently.
