Vee’s G-Pub is part of our dog-walking route, and they’re the only restaurant that opens at 7AM in this particular area in Mandaluyong (apart from chain restaurants and cafes). . Update as of Sept 2024, Vee’s G-Pub is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9am to 2am. The first time we ate here was a few weeks after we moved in in the area. They were directly across Greenfield District Mandaluyong Central Park where we would usually take our beagle Milo to mingle with other dogs. This was when we also found out they were pet-friendly after seeing one of Milo’s friends, Diego (also a beagle), casually hanging out with his human parents who were eating breakfast there. It was only a matter of days after that when we decided to try it out.

First off, Vee’s G-Pub interior design has always been my favorite. It reminds me of expensive event venue places that ask you to pay a large amount to get fancy ceiling treatment. They have swivel doors across their whole restaurant that they keep open for the most part, which lets natural lighting illuminate the area and makes it more inviting. It’s very photogenic, which is why it’s no surprise that the place is also booked for special occasions like wedding parties and birthdays and even meetings in their private conference room.

Now, on to the point of this post—we want to highlight Vee’s G-Pub’s Tapsilog. I lost count of how many times we’ve eaten it in the past 10 months because we constantly crave it. Luckily, we live nearby, so we often order it to go when we start walking our dog and simply picking it up right before going home.

Vee’s G-Pub restaurant has definitely ruined all other tapa for me because of how good it is. Seasoned well, very tender, and makes you want to get extra rice to savor every bit of flavor it has to offer.

We’ve tried about 6 other dishes in this restaurant, which were all pretty good in their own way, but their Tapsilog is really worth going out of your way to try and merits its own feature. We haven’t encountered anyone we recommended this to who hasn’t found their Tapsilog to be delectable.
